Job Description

Provides outpatient assessment, treatment, referral, consultation and education services for at risk children and children with severe emotional disability, and their families; including individual and family counseling, and group counseling when appropriate (60%). Provides clinical supervision for master’s level children’s clinicians, to include licensing supervision (40%).

 

Admission/Intake Conducts comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the program to determine needs for services and makes treatment recommendations or referrals to other programs to ensure appropriate care.

Treatment Provides appropriate treatment approaches to help children and their families attain mutually determined goals. 

Professional Conduct : Exhibits conduct and ethics that enhance quality of client care, contributes to productive interaction among MFS staff and promotes a positive image of MFS in the community.

Professional Development Continues to increase clinical knowledge and skills in the field of child development, mental/behavioral health, and best practices with youth and families, to enhance clinical care, personal development and agency services.

Clinical Supervisor. Provides regular, direct clinical supervision and ongoing evaluations to all assigned clinicians and graduate level interns. All supervisions are to be provided according to both State and Agency regulation, to ensure quality of care and foster the professional growth of each staff member.

Administrative/Fiscal Demonstrates a solid fiscal consciousness and adheres to designated procedures relating to MFS Fiscal Policy and Procedure.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

· Masters Degree in field of mental health or related fields (psychology, counseling, social work or related field from an accredited college or university.) Preference given to degree that is certifiable or licensable in New Hampshire. 

· Licensed or License-eligible in the State of New Hampshire (LICSW, LMFT, LCMHC, LCPC)

· Preference given to individuals who are at least 2 years post-license.
