Job Description

Mobile RV Medics is looking for a Travel RV Technician to join our mobile operations team! This role ranges in duties from inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and demonstrating recreational vehicles. We will travel to offsite events such as NASCAR and Motorcross to do onsite service repairs.

Traveling RV Service Technician
Essential Job Functions
Our traveling RV technicians maintain, repair, and upgrade RVs while traveling to different locations within the United States. Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, performing repairs on chassis, and appliance systems, and providing customer service

- Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Required to follow DOT standards.
- Electronics Troubleshooting
- Proficient in identifying and resolving complex electronic issues, utilizing advanced troubleshooting methods and tools to diagnose, repair, and optimize electronic systems for efficient performance.
- Skilled in gathering and interpreting data, drawing conclusions from information, and using insights to drive decision-making, solve problems, and improve processes in a variety of work environments.
- Ensures the proper upkeep and functioning of tools and machinery through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports that communicate complex technical details, work progress, and results in a manner that is easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to protecting sensitive information by following confidentiality protocols and safeguarding personal, financial, or proprietary data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
- Capable of managing complex work-flows, keeping tasks and resources well-organized, and maintaining a structured approach to work in order to maximize productivity, minimize errors, and maintain consistency across project.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
Qualifications
- This is a safety sensitive position
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- License & Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
- Interstate DOT and CDL License is a bonus
- Experience:
- A minimum of one year of RV service experience required
- RVTI Level 2 certification or higher
- Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety manuals
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to wear protective clothing and use protective equipment as needed or required as per OSHA regulations
- Flexibility with work schedules
- Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Travel
- This position will require the individual to travel up to 80% of the time within the United States
