Job Description

Texas Health Presbyterian Plano is currently seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to support our Surgical Oncology service line.

The address is: 6200 W. Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

Salary Range: Min. $51.49/hr. - Max. $75.68/hr. - based on relevant work experience.

Work Schedule: Full Time. 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Essential Functions

Assessment/ Plan of Care/ Technical Skill:

• Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions

• Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings

• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care

• Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to access, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients

• Initiates actions to meet patients/families needs

• Takes actions to reduce patients risks

• Performs specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently

• Produces documentation that initiates, follows, and revises patients' plan of care

• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care

• Focuses on adherence to clinical pathways, protocols, and policies to ensure high reliability of clinical program

• Promotes population health through the evaluation of care delivery models as they pertain to community, environmental, cultural and socio-economical dimensions of health.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program required

•Master's Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program required

•2 Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner Strongly Preferred

•RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required And

•APRN - Advanced Practice Nurse Upon Hire required And

•NP - Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire required And

•Certified Acute Care NP – STRONGLY PREFERRED And

•BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support 30 Days Required And

•ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 30 Days Required Preferred
