Reporting to the Director of INFLAM Medical Affairs, the Associate Director of Rheumatology is the subject matter expert responsible for contributing and providing medical support to the US Medical Affairs strategic and tactical plans. Supporting the development and preparation for launch of a next generation JAK1 selective inhibitor across multiple immune-mediated conditions in addition to the evolving INFLAM Clinical Development Pipeline.


Job Responsibilities
An integral part of the INFLAM Medical Affairs Team the Associate Director of Rheumatology will be maintain the tenor of Gilead’s scientific communications with the HCP and Research Communities. Supporting the development of high quality educational content such as slide decks, medical presentations at conference, advisory boards, and cross functional review of promotional materials.
Furthermore, the Associate Director, Rheumatology Medical Affairs will advise on the developing Phase IV commitments and co-lead the development of data generation. Specific responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:


• Providing technical support and content expertise to medical information and internal and external healthcare providers
• Leading efforts for data generation and for the development of data displays
• Preparing and giving presentations for internal training and to external audiences
• Serve as a clinical and content expert for internal stakeholders
• Represent Gilead at key medical conferences and congresses
• Provide medical support for key commercial activities
• Participate in the review and approval of investigator initiated studies
• Ensure consistent and accurate medical communications


Requirements
• Advanced Prescriber degree (i.e. MD, DO, NP/PA) required with a background in Rheumatology
• The ability to travel to nationally/internationally as required
• Ability to understand and communicate complex analysis
• Team orientated and ability to work collaboratively towards common objectives
