Associate Veterinarian
Animal Emergency Center
Collinsville, Illinois 62234

Job Description

The Animal Emergency Center located in Collinsville Illinois is just 15 minutes east of St. Louis Missouri, with convenient access to all the amenities that a major metropolitan city has to offer.  We are currently hiring both full-time and part-time Veterinarians.  We are looking for highly motivated, dedicated, compassionate, and caring Veterinarians to join our well-trained team.

The Animal Emergency Center recognizes the importance of maintaining a great work/life balance with full-time associates working only 3-4 days per week.  Both full-time and part-time positions are available with very flexible and accommodating schedules.

We offer a competitive $80,000.00 base salary with additional production-based bonuses commensurate with experience.  Our comprehensive benefit package typically includes professional dues, professional licenses, professional liability insurance, retirement plan, vacation, continuing education allowance and paid time off for CE, health insurance, life insurance, dental and vision options, pet care benefits, and uniform allowance.   We are offering a $10,000.00 signing bonus for motivated individuals.

Our practice is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscope, multiple ECG, SPO2, CO2, BP monitors, and telemetry monitoring.  We house a full service Veterinary Reference Laboratory that provides STAT laboratory testing for our patients as well as services for local referring veterinary hospitals.  We provide hematology, chemistry, endocrinology, coagulation, blood gas, and lactate testing, as well as additional routine tests.

We emphasize continuing education and strongly encourage and support in-house, local, and national CE for our veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary nurses.  We have a highly trained experienced support staff with a high Staff to Doctor Ratio to allow for excellence in care of our emergent and critically ill patients.

Our Medical Director has over 30 years of emergency and critical care experience.  All of our Veterinarians welcome the opportunity to mentor Associates. New graduates will work closely with one of our experienced Associates.  There will always be an Associate available to provide back-up and support with challenging cases, surgical cases, and at times of high volume.  The Animal Emergency Center sets high standards for emergency and critical care medicine.   We see a large and diverse case-load which provides an excellent opportunity for a new Veterinarian to further develop their skills, knowledge, and expertise.
