Job Description

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
•Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
•Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
•Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
•Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
•Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
•Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
•Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
•Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
•Use various systems to review and document required maintenance work, critical spares, etc.
•Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
•High School Diploma/GED preferred.
•Mechanical experience in a manufacturing facility required.
•Technical mechanical experience in a chemical facility highly preferred.
•Welding experience in structural and pipe welding, including but not limited to SMAW, and TIG.
•Pipefitting experience.
•Rigging and equipment moving experience.
•Fork lift, and other motorized equipment operation experience.
•Working at heights in elevated work platforms experience.
•Working with crane operators via hand signals to lift equipment experience.
•Confined space work experience.
•Standing for extended periods of time, ability to lift, push and pull up to 55 pounds frequently, exposure to outside conditions and ability to work any shift.
•Highly ethical with the ability to understand complex situations and make decisions.
•Exceptional verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrates a personal presence characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the values of the company.
