Job Description

This position is responsible for analytical work that supports Community Health Improvement metrics related to Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), Community Impact and System Integration initiatives. Provides community level analysis of demographic, clinical and socio-ecological data that informs strategy and solutions across the system. Must be familiar or able to learn both internal and external databases, preform complex data analysis and create sound data collection protocols

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Population Health, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field, or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Master's degree preferred in Population Health, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.

Experience:
Five (5) years relevant experience in a related field with a Bachelor's degree or three (3) years relevant experience in a related field with a Master's degree.

Strongly Prefer:
Candidate should have a Healthcare or Public Health background

Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in the manipulation and use of large and complex databases. Experience creating queries and performing data validation and verification. Some experience with reporting tools that work with SQL Server (i.e. Crystal Reports) and experience writing and developing reports is desired. Possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint including experience with relational database design. Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Ability to learn and master other computer technology/software programs as needed. Good command of Internet processes and web design. Solid problem-solving and analysis skills that demonstrate resourcefulness and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively. Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and adhere to priorities with minimal direct supervision. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven mathematical skills to collect and manipulate financial or statistical data. Good project management and organization skills. Have a good understanding and knowledge of the program in the context of the departments' structure and functionality.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:
Performs complex data analysis in support of community health strategies. Able to evaluate internal and external data to assess and predict community trends and opportunities for intervention. Subject matter expert on appropriate databases and resources such as Community Commons, Texas Health and Human Services, CDC, Healthy People 2020, etc.

Develop methodologies/protocols to acquire, manage, manipulate and analyze data related to Community Health (CH) strategy.
Gathers and processes data related to CH strategies to ensure strategies are trending toward meeting objectives.

Uses advanced software applications e.g. spreadsheets, graphics, databases to collect, manipulate and report outcomes for CH strategies to key stakeholders.

Maintains dashboard of key CH metrics and responsible for upkeep of portals and sources of dissemination.
